This extension provides the ability to create attribute-specific pages and allows visitors find all available products related to specific attribute values. As you might have already guessed, the MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 extension enables the shop by brand functionality or you can gather products of one size or color on one page. Below, we shed light on its core features as well as backend and frontend functionality.
- Landing pages per product attributes;
- Featured attributes for more efficient promotion;
- AJAX filtering, search, and sorting;
- Layered navigation on shop by attribute pages;
- Per store view attribute management;
- SEO-friendly landing pages;
- And more.
The MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 extension allows to create an unlimited number of landing pages on the basis of product attributes. We’ve already mentioned, that you can fully leverage the Brand attribute. At the same time, the module lets you create pages for such attributes as color, activity, size, or pattern. Thus, you allow customers to look through items of a selected color, certain activity, or specified size, making shopping experience better.
And there are several ways to narrow down the selection of items (including layered navigation!) or rearrange its order. We describe all of them in the Frontend section of this post. As for the aforementioned SEO feature, it lets you specify meta data for landing pages, making them more search engine-friendly. And if you add any new attribute values, the MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 module allows to synchronize it with attribute pages within just one click.
To configure the extension (the process is extremely easy) go to Stores -> Settings -> Configuration -> MageDelight -> Shop By Attribute. The tab is divided into three sections: License Configuration, General Settings, and Logo Settings.
In License Configuration, enter Serial Key and Activation Key. You will get them after buying the MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 module.
In General Settings, enable the extension.
Next, upload a placeholder image and specify its width and height.
Now, go to Shop By Attribute -> Attribute Configuration. Here, you can configure existing attribute-based pages or add new ones. The existing are gathered in a grid that shows attribute ID, name, and page layout. Note that it is possible to delete attribute pages in bulk.
While adding a new attribute page, select an attribute that will be used as its basis, specify a URL key for the page, enable layered navigation and featured slider, and select page layout.
Next, specify meta keywords and description.
Then hit the Save And Sync Attribute button.
To configure attribute values, go to Shop By Attribute -> Attribute Values Configuration. All attribute values are gathered here. You can edit each value as well as sync new values with the extension.
While adding a new value, specify its title, add logo, specify URL key, enable it, decide whether the value if featured or not, select attribute value page layout, and add description.
Next, make attribute value page more user-friendly by typing meta keywords and description.
Under the Associated Products tab, add products associated to the attribute value.
Now, when you know how to configure the MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 extension, let’s see how it works on the frontend.
The main menu includes one new item: Shop By. Hover over it to view all available attribute-specific pages:
The selected Shop By page contains a slider with featured attribute values. In our case, the Shop By Brands page offers just one featured brand – Gucci.
The next section of the page provides various filtering options which can be applied without reloads. Press any letter to narrow down the selection. Alternatively, you can type a character to filter out the list of brands. As for sorting, it can by applied by position or name.
The attribute value page of the MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 extension offers all products related to the selected attribute – the Gucci brand in our example. There is a brand logo on a page. Besides, you can see a brand description. To narrow down the selection of products, MageDelight allows to use layered navigation.
The MageDelight Shop By Attribute Magento 2 module provides advanced opportunities when it comes to better shopping experience. Unlike other shop by brand extensions, it allows to create separate landing pages for each attribute and all its parameters. The module costs $249 and it is absolutely worth its money.
