The Magento 2 ShapeShift extension dramatically improves the default shopping experience of your customers. The module adds a new payment method to the checkout page - Shape Shift Payment. As a result, customers only need to specify the altcoin they want to use to place the order. In addition, it is possible to type a return address to enable further refund.

Next, there is the ‘Place Order’ button that continues the procedure and redirects a customer to a new screen, where a deposit address and a required amount of altcoins are specified.

Note that additional order details are sent to a customer by email. As a merchant, receive a new payment and send all ordered items to a customer.

From the admin side, the configuration of the ShapeShift Magento 2 extension is also extremely easy. In the backend, go to Stores -> Settings -> Configuration -> Sales -> Payment Methods -> Other Payment Methods and select Shape Shift Payment. Enable the extension and select the cryptocurrency you want to accept. Note that the ShapeShift Magento 2 module is not limited to one type of altcoins, so you can use any crypto instead of aforementioned Bitcoin. Next, it is necessary to specify a deposit address of the wallet related to the selected coin type.

Select a paid order status, enable/disable debug, and choose a payment action.

The ability to accept any cryptocurrency is no longer a dream and you can implement the new payment method on your Magento 2 website in a very unobtrusive way. While CoinPayments has a more user-friendly interface, it adds several additional steps to the checkout procedure that must be completed outside the Magento 2 store, but the interface is customer oriented, so your clients will easily complete the purchase.
